I am having major issues setting up our network using the supplied Marconi router. If I dissable DHCP so that I can manually assign IP addresses to our PCs then none of them can connect. The only way is to have all our pcs set to automatically get an IP and enable DHCP on the router. However I need atleast 2 pc's on the network to have fixed IPs. Will a firmware upgade fix this?
There must be a newer firmware version for the router available but I've tried searching everywhere for it. Does anyone know where I can get it?
Kind regards
Norrad

Its been a while since I used those marconi routers however you definitely can setup both static and DHCP. In order to setup a static address you will need to link a MAC address to a specific IP
You can get the MAC by typing
ipconfig /all on the desired machine ( windows under physical address)
or
linux/unix
ifconfig ( HWAddress)

This way the router is able to always assign the address to the correct machine
Well thats deinitely how it works on netgear and I seem to remember it being the same for marconi
