I have been using Telkom 3G in PE since March 2009... reception 5/5.

Millard Grange, Glendinningvale, Parsons Hill. All working off the Sidwell tower, so the entire Sidwell and most of Sydenham is also working.

Linton Grange tower, Walmer, Greenbushes, Summerstrand and Lady Slipper are broadcasting...

How do you do a network search on your phone ?

The subsurbs will be too numerous to mention, so I'd rather stick to Towers that are online. If you within about 1,5km of these towers, you should receive a signal:

Linton Grange
Greenbushes SABC
Lady Slipper
St Albans
Central (near Campanile)
Sidwell
Zwide
Booysens Park
Motherwell
Despatch
Vanes Estate (Uitenhage)

It's a strange one... sometimes at home I get 5/5 bars on my E220 but zero reception on my E71.

Plug E220 into notebook usb port, run Telkom Mobile Partner software, connect. No testing!

What sim card does one use to get onto the telkom 3G network? I have a sony usb hsdpa modem and am currently using vodacom but would like to give telkom a try. Where can i get the sim from?
