Intelligent Way To Make A Statement

Yesterday I opened up our local community newspaper (Rekord) with this story on the 3rd page. I searched the newspaper's website but couldn't find the story there yet.

Community members living in Silver Lakes in Pretoria are "up in arms" with the massive potholes plotted along the road that leads to Heaven (read Silver Lakes). Fed up with the Kungwini Munisipality that refuses to respond to their growing cries for help (the poor people, ag shame). So fed up in fact that they now planted trees in the potholes! That'll show 'em!

You guys have to see the photos published in the newspaper. It's hilarious! The female community chairperson standing so proud next to the tree in the middle of the road whilst another older dude holds up the tree and a "tuinbooi" bringing in soil in a wheelbarrow... all with such serious looks on their faces. Lmfao! They even said in the article that they "planted the trees in straight rows". The potholes apparently caused drivers to swerve out of the way of the potholes. The trees will apparently improve the situation.

They should start growing weed in the potholes, and see how long it takes the government to fix them.
