The Samsung Galaxy S2 - It is the only phone you will ever need.
Tom Tom have come up in the market I hear.....I wonder what this will cost though.
I love the mounting bracket that tomtom has designed for in car use with the iPhone.
It rocks!!
The Samsung Galaxy S2 - It is the only phone you will ever need.
Cool! Sucks that it aint Garmin but thats politics I guess...
It is however reaching that stage where convergence makes me a little uneasy.
I can deal with not having an mp3 player if my phone is dead but (if you put all your iEggs in your iBasket of course) no GPS/email/etc. Could prove a ballache.
Dont get me wrong - ever since caramel corn I am all for convergence but personally I'd employ a certain level of redundancy like keeping the old Garmin in the glove compartment for instance.
Dude, I see that the UNOFFICIAL TomTom Application IS currently available for the local South African market at the moment!
Except it is NOT available through the Apple AppStore at all .... yet!
There is a local torrent site with it on, it's 147.24 MB in size, and works PERFECTLY !!!!!
Grab it while it is still available!
(P.S. You will need a jailbroken iPhone 3G or 3G[S] to install it !!!)

I was perusing the iTS today and noticed that TomTom for Southern Africa is available ($79). Obviously this is a lot cheaper than getting a standalone unit but is it worth the money?
