Drivers..
where?

and if not, how do I get neotel to work under windows 7? (build 7231)

did you just download the prime drivers from that page?
i've tried that...
but when I try install drivers, it says they are not intended for "this" platform..

And neoconnect manager cannot find my phone :(

I downloaded the neoconnect prime manager v1.9 zip file, extracted it and ran the neoconnect manager executable. Are you using Windows 7 RC or an earlier build (I don't know where build 7231 fits in)? Or maybe it's a case of 32 bit windows vs. 64 bit.

Also not picking up my phone in WIN7 and also getting the "not intended for "this" platform"... Orin, you must have a Neotel certified version there. See your tagline also promotes them ... hmm. Why didn't they take the appropriate steps to ensure drivers for ALL WIN7 versions are available months ago when it was released in the States??

Lol. I wouldn't call that promoting them :P

But yeah, had a similiar problem a while ago trying to get the drivers to install on the 64bit win7 version. Can't install the drivers as they aren't digitally signed therefore MS just tells em to go fsck themselves.

I honestly never had a problem with Win7. I found that drivers that worked with Vista ALMOST ALWAYS worked with my Win7 installation (Neotel included). The only exception was my HP printer, but those drivers were bundled with Win7 anyway.

Unfortunately I'm now using Linux full time at home so I can't experiment with Win7 anymore. Maybe Neotel will upgrade the drivers once Win7 is widely available locally.

Any new discoveries regarding this issue
My Neotel Prime phone wont install properly windows 7:(

I used the drivers from the original Neotel CD and it worked.

Install the drivers from the CD, then restart the PC and plug the device in, detects away and works like a dream.

Since it's a USB device, the above 'procedure' is what you do for everything.

Install drivers/software FIRST then plug device in... remember that boet!

Thanks will try that!

Okay so that didnt work. I phone Neotel and ask for windows seven drivers: one lady tells me that they are still working on it and its not available as yet and another tells me i should dl the 64 bit drivers from the Neotel website (anyone did this)

Don't know how you could NOT get it working.
I have 7 Ultimate 64-bit and I used the drivers from the CD, previously on my 'cracked' copy of 7, I used the drivers from the Neotel web site, both worked without any hassles.

Number

Send me you number, i'll call you.

I'm using Win 7 and it is 100% on mine...

I dunno whats going on. Not sure if i did something wrong when i first installed, this is what i did: I put on the laptop. I put in the Neotel CD and installed it. I plugged in the phone USB (it then says drivers not installed properly). Since then no luck

Did you ever install the drivers from neotel's site? They are version 1.9 (i think) while the one on the cd is an earlier version which won't work with Windows 7.

haven't yet but will make a plan to do so today and with the help of Hugo, im hoping it will be sorted

Yay! I downloaded the drivers of the Neotel website, installed them and the phone/internet is running on Windows seven

Thanks for the tips guys
Thanks Hugo for the assistance on Neotels side!

You have to run the setup program in compatibility mode (in Windows XP servive pack 3 mode, to be specific) and run it as administrator.

Hi guys, seems the link to get the updated drivers have been diverted to the home page! NEOTEL I HATE YOU! why do these people always have to torture us and make eerything as difficult as possible????

Anyone with a link or can upload them somewhere because my cd install is not having ANY of windows 7 no matter what order or anything else I try :( Please help someone???
