Hey guys so i have a bit of money to spend was just wondering what to spend it on??.I currently hav a 19''lcd and a xfx 9600Gt card...So the question is what do you guys suggest i buy ,i was looking at the P2350 or do u guys think a gfx is a better option?

Bigger LCD for now. Newer ATI & nVidia cards are coming out a bit later.

Depends, are you a heavy gamer?

I would not like to see how a 9600gt will handle that type of resolution in all honesty.

I would get a 4870/4890 rather and save for the monitor.

Whats a 4870/4890 and why is it better than the 9600GT?

Whats the difference in price?

9500/9600 gt = shiaat.

even if you got a 32" LCD screen you won't be able to do anything with it on a crappy gfx card, however, a good gfx card will work on any screen.

remember, if you get the screen first, your games are gonna run even slower if you're gonna run higher resolutions.

go for a 4890 like killa said.

I would sell both and buy both. you'll get R1k for the lcd and R800 for the gfx. That will give you an extra 2k to mess around with = 2333sw and 4850.

good idea - but I dont think he'd get that much though

Geforce 9600GT 512MB DDR2 Dual DVI - XFX R 835 excl. R 951 incl.
LG 19" LCD Wide 1440x900 1000:1 5ms D-Sub R 949 excl. R 1,081 incl.

....but I still say this is a good idea from cerberus :)

sell the gfx and lcd, get about, i'd say R1500. buy a 22" LCD with that.

....or add 400 bucks and get this:
2333SW SAMSUNG 23" WIDE TFT, 1920 X 1080, 5 Millisecond, .282mm dot pitch, 20000:1(Dynamic) Contrast Ratio, Analogue/DVI, Tilt, Swivel Stand, MagicBright3, Glare Model - NEW R 1,670 excl. R 1,903 incl.

--

Edit: Err, guys? not sure where he's gonna get a 4890 for R2000 though - Pcint sells them for R2500.

So yeah - sell the LCD & GFX Card for R1500 Total, add the R2000.

R3500 will get you:
HD 4850 512MB GDDR3 PCI-E DUAL DVI-I / TVO LITE R 1,049 excl. R 1,195 incl.
2333SW SAMSUNG 23" WIDE TFT, 1920 X 1080, 5 Millisecond, .282mm dot pitch, 20000:1(Dynamic) Contrast Ratio, Analogue/DVI, Tilt, Swivel Stand, MagicBright3, Glare Model - NEW R 1,670 excl. R 1,903 incl.

so you get a 23" Samsung, ATi HD4850 which is good enough, and 500 bucks to spend on something else - bargain!

with the 2 grand he initially had? the money he gets from the sale of his LCD and GFX card go towards the screen

Thanks for all the suggestions guys ,i do game alot but i don't play alot of graphic hungry games its just stuf like carbon ,prince of persia ,quake 4 ,stuf lyk that nothing as hectic as crysis and bio shock...

thats exactly why u need a gfx card rather, bioshock isn't that requiring....

but anyhow, why not get both like suggested by cerb!
