Thread: Ford Fiesta Rear view mirror

  1. #1

Default Ford Fiesta Rear view mirror

By accident i knocked off my rear view mirror on my Ford fiesta. The little clip that holds it in place snapped off.
So i went to fords parts and the guy there told me its a common problem. But they want to charge me R1000 for a whole new rear view. They dont sell the little plastic clip seperatly. Thats a little steep for a small plastic clip.

Now what i want to know is do i:
a: But the stupid thing and forget about it.
b: Try gind some glue and glue it back on (double side tape does not work)
c: try find some place that sells the little clip.

    Any ideas??

Just go to a scrapyard and find a replacement. It wouldn't really cost you that much, or if you'd wanna waste more money you could search for some branded mirrors for ford which could cost you double.. no, triple of what you could spend on a scrapyard.

    EDIT: sorry!

Just spoke to my SO and she also drives a Ford Fiesta (2006) and her friend knocked her rear view mirror off somehow last year. She got a new mirror from Eagle Ford, off Luis Botha, for a few hundred bucks. Definitely under R400 (she doesn't really remember).

    Who quoted you R1000?

Edit: Damn you callmedavie02. Look at the ****ing date of the first post.
