Rugby fights

Rugby is the most beautiful game there is, to me anyway. :D
However, there is a side to it, that is pretty nasty.

However, i crack myself at times for some of the fights. in this vid, it seems some of the players are practising for a boxing match. LOL!

Some of the best fights took place before rugby matches were being televised in SA.

We used to go and watch EP play in the Currie Cup at the Boet Erasmus stadium. EP lost most games but won most fights!!
 
in rugby you get your teeth kicked in and your eye poked out yet they still run back on the field and play the game. the soccer guys just go lie down on a stretcher when they trip over another players shoelaces.

This used to be years ago right? It may actually be before my time but i think EP rugby has more boxers or street fighters than actual rugby players :eek:

Around 1974 to 1986

From '74 British Lions tour until I went to the army.
 
That game we played against Canada in '95 was a bad one. They won the fight but lost the game :D

Don't ever start a fight with okes that come from a country where they play ice hockey.
 
I was there! It happened in from of us where we were sitting on the open stand. We were still upset that we had poor seats as we were too low down, but they were ring side seats for the fight!
