I just had my steering rack and front brake calipers/discs replaced on the Sirion. Came to R16000. Luckily still under warranty. Ridiculous pricing and the service from their dealers are shocking

That's insanity for shocks. What kind of shocks are they, for a space craft? Shocks are shocks. Go to supaquick, they're also expensive but not like that. R4,000 for an Alfa from them (and Alfa's are 'supposed' to be expensive)

I dont have a Sirion (a friends wife drives one though) but dampers are dampers and are usually OEM manufcatured. Replacements are always available for much cheaper from a different source than the supplier. My Honda for example came with Kayaba dampers and the agents wanted a arm an a leg for new ones so I went with Monroe. Have since discovered where to buy Kayabas from.

Anyways regarding your Sirion, I have found that calling Monroe is very helpful though if you need information.

I'm almost 100% certain they do have dampers for your vehicle.

They will also be able to point you to a local dealer with good prices if you ask. Very friendly and helpful bunch whom I will use again.

If I could give you some advice. Those shops might be fancy etc but they rape you. I have found that buying parts from repitable indian/muslim car parts places usually yields the best deal for the same identical product. The labour to fit the shocks is a very small part of the price or find a mechanic to do it for you and then afterwards just take the car for balancing & alignment.

PM me your cars Chassis Number please. Reason I ask is that on this particular vehicle they seem to have used different shocks and the only way to get the correct shock model numbers is to look at the cars Chassis#. You should find the chassis number on the plate inside the engine compartment under the bonnet.

Oh, you are looking at a ballpark figure of R700 per shock which is based on the front shocks which are more expenisve than the rears. This is direct from the KYB distributor in CT.
