Ubuntu launch2net Mobile Internet Connection Manager

YAY!!!....finaly a proper connection manager for 3G in Ubuntu! Just downloaded it and tested with my E220. Imediately detected my modem and network and all I had to do was click connect. Tested SMS and it works also :-)

Can this application work with a dial up connection (using a cell phone via cable)?

mmm I have not used a cellphone as a modem for ages. As per cb's post above it seems it is only compatible with the devices he mentions. I hope this will be expanded as I think this is a nifty little piece of software. Thank you Smiley for this.

Maybe! I have'nt tried this app yet so can;t comment, if it does not work for you then drop into a terminal and type pppconf enter, set up your dial up connection that way. Once you have created the connection then dial up in terminal using 'pon connection name'.
