Neotel retail store opens

I promise never to touch young women's boobies.

Just because I promise something doesn't mean it will happen.

Time will tell

Let me guess... This store is nowhere near Alberton.

Still a problem with coverage, Neohell?

At least there will be somebody to scream at face to face when Neotel mess up...

This is so freakin funny. "Yet another step in the right direction". How many times have you heard that from Neotel?

News flash October 2023: Neotel scraps the fair usage policy on uncapped products. Ajay, "Yet ANOTHER step in the right direction", pat pat.

Neotel. Unlimited.
(Except in data usage, coverage, customer service and speed)

Neotel responded this morning to my email asking when we will have coverage in Brackenhurst.

Please be advised that due to the nature of our network we are not able to advise of when there will be coverage in areas that currently do not have coverage. We are however in the process of expanding our coverage throughout South Africa thus if you can check coverage again in the next 3 – 6 months to check if we have made progress in your area.

Precisely what is the "nature of our network" that precludes them from knowing when they will have coverage in a particular area?

I can understand, "Due to the nature of the earth's water cycle we are not able to advise of when there will be rain in Johannesburg again," or, "Due to the nature of the rugby they play we are not able to advise of when Western Province will win the Currie Cup again," but "nature of our network"?

Went passed it just over a week ago, must say it seems pretty empty... just the phones on stands in the middle of the room, couple of PCs to test the internet I guess... not much happening there.

Maybe they use a random name generator to decide which area is next on their list each morning...

They promise 'excelent' ... OMG man come on... don't try BS a BS'er.

How they going to offer anything "excellent" when they can't even do it when you call them.

I must admit, I've not had any problems with my Neotel connection at home. It's definitely slower than our office ADSL, but it's far more stable. Our ADSL at the office has been down since Wednesday; not had a minute's trouble with Neotel since I've had it.

Other than having to get used to the slower connection, obviously.

(The point of the above being that I have never had to contact their support, so I wouldn't know what to expect.)

Great putting a face to evil is the only way to exorcise a demon....

And in other news, Neotel are to produce an orange soda to compete directly with FANTA.....
