I gues everyone knows that if you have an old sim or usb modem on the cell networks, you can just get another sim from any of the cell providers and continue using the device....Hey even Telkom gives you a sim these days with voice and data

But with neotel only supports devices sold by them. I have a E960 which is a WCDMA device but Neotel will not activate it. Anyone any ideas? or got your own device connected????

Surely they could gain more business if they allowed people to bring their own devices...!!!

They program the "sim info" into your device beforehand as far as I know. There is no physical sim involved to the best of my knowledge.

I'm pretty sure neotel uses cdma2000 which is incompatible with wcdma. Also neotel use 800mhz frequency which is not common.
