Hey People
I have a 1TB Samsung HD103UJ paperweight that I need to get repaired or swapped out. The Samsung ZA site says that a company named Samtech is the only service location in Cape Town. I called them up and was told that they only deal with Samsung Audio devices. Now I am sitting with a problem, did I speak with a dumb call centre person who didn't know what was going on or is there another place that I can take the drive to?

where did you buy it? samsung hdd's are dealt with by hardware suppliers and not a repair center as they are swapped out not repaired.

I think Computer Repair Technologies (CRT) in Montague Gardens do Samsung HDDs. Perhaps give them a call.

You can also try phoning Rectron, I think that's where Kalahari's Samsung HDDs are from.

Checking out their site it seems CRT only do Samsung LCD, CRT and Plasma screens. No Hard Drives I'm afraid. I sent a mail to Kalahari about the Hard Drive, just waiting for a reply. If that doesn't pan out I'll give CRT or Rectron a call.
