'Socialist' or 'statist' is pretty much a nice way of saying 'communist'.

liberal... my belief system has clearly remained unchanged from the giddy days of green tobacco and bell-bottoms (Yes, I did wear them! Didn't ever wear safari-suits, which I 'm sure some on this forum definitely did...)

    LIBERAL LIBERTARIAN

I said agree to everything but :-

"Repeal laws prohibiting adult possession and use of drugs"
I put Maybe here, I'm on the fence regarding this issue, because I wouldn't agree on possession of all drugs - however, I'm only for prosecuting dealers of highly addictive damaging drugs as opposed to users of them.

"End "corporate welfare." No government handouts to business"
Maybe - this is far to broad a subject to cover. Some smaller businesses may require government handouts to get started, while large organisations may be of benefit to government, hense the need for handouts.

"End government barriers to international free trade"
Maybe - another contentious issue. Free trade has it's good points and it's bad points. Some industry sectors will thrive, others will perish.

"Replace government welfare with private charity"
Disagree - private charity can donate to government if they wish.
A correctly run government has welfare programs which a private charity may not either want to finance, or don't have the funding/ability to finance.

Peapod - Nice score on the personal liberties. Now if you could just work on bringing down the economic liberties score by about 10%-15%....then we can be friends!! Just kidding! :P

I decided to slash goverment spending, do away with corporate handouts, keep social welfare a government issue and keep a welfare system.
That makes me fair and reasonable doesnt it?

Oh and sex n drugs n rock n roll should ALWAYS be out of free choice - I am personally rather pedestrian in all 3 camps so am not shouting for a free reefer with big boy condom purchases, just the right to choose what I do in the privacy of my own home.
