I suggested an Itona thin-client and a Posiflex 12.1 inch LCD monitor. When I got home last night, dazed and confused from the hot Cape sun I though why don’t I eat my own dog food and try to build a photo frame using the hardware I suggested. Too many times people on internet forums suggest hardware they read a review on or hear about and never actually use the hardware. I also thought why just a photo frame? Why not a device that can connect to the internet. As a thin client is a stripped down PC.

I have sold over 20 of those LCD's alone and with POS (Point Of Sale) systems. I have another box with cracked ones that I must still sort out (I actually picked them up for less than R300 each but I want to cover my ass. In case I get more in and want to resell and add a nice mark up).

I buy from importers, that buy containers from other countries. Mainly refurbished.

Looks good. Touch screen would make a good addition.

Tablet is just like a laptop but you can write on the screen, like a touch screen.

So this thing is like a mini laptop

Let me rather intervene. It’s a full blown computer (just very small), it can surf the web, type, print, watch movies, listed to music, it has a serial port and parallel port, network port etc. The motivation and photo frame addition came from a discussions on a previous thread. The "internet tablet" name is because the monitor can tilt all the way back and it looks like a tablet PC. This has been cobbled together in a few hours. It could be made much nicer.
