someone was looking for the words to DIE STEM a few years back and it came up on google when i was researching the anthem and i revived the thread. there was also an old thread about Yo-yo's and i wanted to open it but did not get round to doing it. when you revive an old thread like the 2 i was looking at it lets me get in touch with the people that were interested in the topic then.

Why is there an issue with thread necromancy? I honestly don't get it.

I trust that other forumites can augment my explanation if anything is unclear or needs to be corrected in any way.
So the solution is to close a thread cos people don't read? That's absurd. See my previous post. People need to read properly and not make assumptions. There is a timestamp on threads for a reason. If they don't read properly and see the timestamp on the thread, then whose fault is that? It's not about living in the past. If info is useful, the thread should remain open.

If 99,99% of threads are current then most reasonable people will make an assumption as a reasonable benefit/cost trade-off instead of checking time stamps 200x per day.

I'd prefer a compromise: Only people with 50+ posts are allowable/able to resurrect threads >1 year. That way we can eliminate the 1 post wonders resurrecting stuff left right & center.

If people can read a thread title, there is no excuse for not seeing the date just a millimetre below it.

This presents me with the opportunity to try a unique experiment. If you're still subscribed to this thread, and my rezzing it thus has irritated you, well then the OP has been vindicated.
If not, carry on then, nothing to see here.

(Apologies, thread necro irritates me too, but I couldn't resist under the circumstances.)

    Prophetic.
Christ-mass is NOT for Christians. Jeremiah 10.
Is the 10 Commandments for Christians?

Saturday is the Seventh day, Sunday is the first day.

    That's some serious skill.

I agree with the necro approval though
