We always seem to create the best deals towards month end! Now if you have some downloads queued, then this is the account for you.

Information:

* Runs from date of purchase until end January 2010
* The account is not renewable
* The account runs at 128k speeds during the day
* The account runs at FULL 4Mbps speeds ( if your Telkom supports it) After hours (Mon to Fri between 19:30 and 07:30) and (Friday between 19:30 and Monday 07:30).
* P2P and torrents allowed
* 1 concurrent ADSL connection allowed

Got this email couple of minutes ago, seem as a viable option if you need to do some heavy downloading.:D

R399 for one week = R1,600 for a month. Axxess is R899/999 and 192 Kbps during office hours.

you can easily pull 240 Gigs on this before the end of the month. :D

That's R1.66 per gigabyte. :rolleyes:

Use it, don't use it... but you would be a fool not to if you had the money.

care to share the math for it so i also can arrive at "easily pull 240G" ? :)

sure, I have the OpenWeb uncapped Express product which also uses the IS backbone.

On average with that product and my 4 meg line I can grab 20 gigs per night and 80 gigs over a weekend.

There are two weekends between now and the end of the month.

2 x weekends = 160 Gigs
4 nights = 80 gigs

Total = 240 Gigs

Damn, I thought this was another one of those slow uncapped products. Being OpenWeb I assumed it would be more stable than DC or Screamer:(

You must have a huge DVD/BD collection or delete a lot of stuff.
 
Many people don't have R899 per month. I know that my brother always takes Openwebs month end specials because it is extra fast and in one week he can get alot more out of his line than he can the whole month with his digichilli account.

I don't think this is that bad, especially if you have a 200gb download waiting..... Even if you went with Afrihost's R14.50 special, it would still cost you R2900. So for some people that only want a quick burst this is quite nice.

I have had my axxess uncapped for 2 months now, and I must say that I have now satisfied my internet download addiction (after about 1.1TB of downloads, yes I was a ADSL Hog) and might go onto an afrihost package for the next couple of months. In a couple of month's time something like this might come in handy just satisfy the occasional download withdraw symptoms I might experience.

did you not say the same last month and caused some "discussion"
 
ya would be nice if i could get one though :/ e-mailed twice and nothing !
