Any idea if the match will be on SABC or Supersport ?

I think that the Paraguay game should be on SABC, they have the rights to Bafana games. The problem is that the game will be early in the morning SA time, and SABC are idiots at sheduling. Remember the SA vs Serbia game and its 'delayed-live' crap?

If we carry this kind of form into the Paraguay game we should be able to get a good result against them.

Tonight's line up against Cruzeiro (a top Brazillian club)

Itumeleng Khune; Siboniso Gaxa, Bongani Khumalo, Siyabonga Sangweni, Innocent Mdledle; Lance Davids, Thanduyise Khuboni, Teko Modise, Siphiwe Tshabalala; Thulasizwe Mbuyane; Katlego Mphela
The coach has said he will use only one team for tonight's game with the rest of the squad members playing against Cruzeiro's reserve side tomorrow.
I think it's safe to say these players will be in the WC squad. Pienaar, Mokoeana, McCarthy, Parker, Masilela, Sibaya, Moon, Digkacoi, Booth, Erasmus, Josephs and Baron, completes the final 23.

My World Cup starting 11 would be Khune, Gaxa, Masilela, Sangweni, Mokoena(C), Sibaya, Davids, Pienaar, Tshabalala, Mphela, McCarthy.
Reserves: Parker, Digkacoi, Erasmus, Booth, Khumalo, Mdledle, Baron (GK)

New FIFA rankings are in, and sadly Bafana went down again:

South Africa dropped from 81 to a record low 88, a result of their inactivity at international level even though they are currently in Brazil playing against club sides, matches that are not recognised by FIFA.

A squad of local based players remain unbeaten after seven matches with five victories and two draws, but sadly those are mere club fixtures and the FIFA ranking officials hardly even gave those results, some against third tier teams, a blink.

As the article says, this happened as they haven't been playing games. Last one was the 1 - 1 draw against Namibia. Hopefully they can pull off at least a draw against Paraguay tonight. The game starts at 00:30 tonight (technically tomorrow), on SABC 1.

Bafana were quite poor in the first half, second half was good though. Siphiwe Tshabalala's goal was amazing. I'm hoping that this isthe start of good things for Bafana.

Bafana are playing their first game in Germany tonight. They are playing North Korea, a team that will be in the WC. Sadly the details on the game are quite sketchy. FIFA.com merely shows that the is happening, not at what time. Hopefully the game is televised though, I'll update if I find any info.

Edit: I checked SAFA's site, and it says this: "The match will be played at the SV Wehen Wiesbaden Stadium in Frankfurt. Kick off is at 18H00." I'm not sure if that means 6pm SA time, or 7pm (6pm CET with DST), but I don't see the game on SABC or SS.

And that is why I hate the SABC! Can't even show national soccer games live, WTF! I was following the score online.

That doesn't matter though, the SABC should be forced to show the games live, or give up their right to the games to someone else. I think the deal expires at the end of the WC.

Anyone know whether the warm-up game against Argentina will go ahead?
