New Rivonia Off Ramp

I havent used Rivonia in ages, whats the problem? is the old one totally closed or are there now two offramps?
I see they do plan on having one offramp directly to Rivonia for traffic heading up toward Sandton, but currently its ridiculous. Ppl are going off at William Nicol or going all the way around to Woodmead and coming back again.

I spoke to the Project Manager (Hennie Kotze) this morning - he claims that things will be better once the fly-over is completed (which will feed traffic going East on Rivonia.) He also claimed that things might be better in a week once they've tweaked the Traffic Light timings.... Let's wait and see but in it's current state, the off ramp is useless.

How could they have thought that the off ramp would be any better the way they made it now. It took me 40min to do the 2km stretch to Rivonia from buccleuch interchange this morning (and this is in school holidays). How long isnt it going to take once the schools open again. The problem is they closed the slipway from Rivonia off ramp to Rivonia road. So this means that everyone has to wait for the traffic light to turn green. This, coupled with the crappest traffic light timing I've ever seen in my life, makes for probably the worst off ramp in Johannes burg atthe moment. What a huge failure for the designers. The light stays green for about 10secs and then turns green for traffic travelling up Rivonia rd. THERE IS ALMOST NO TRAFFIC ON RIVONIA RD THAT TIME OF THE MORNING AT THE OVERPASS!!!! WAKE UP YOU INCOMPETENT FOOLS!!!!!! If I could swear I would have told you to go do something very ugly to your mothers. Fix the problem that you created that never existed!!!!!
