It is like this for about a week plus. Can not even browse the web. My friend also confirmed his iburst in RTB, bout 4km from me, is also terrible. Have to play online with his 3G as he keep disconnecting on iburst.

    What is going on...hehe
Iburst is lazy. They make to much money and don't care enough to improve speeds during load. all I'm asking for is 1.00 DL speed everyday, its 2012 even my toaster can connect to the net or it could if I was with a ISP that had faster speeds than tar hardening???? Imagine....to be able to connect all your wifi devices and browse the Internet! to bad it will never happen with iburst. I know for a fact it's not my signal or my antenna because my speed at 2:41 am this morning was 1.14 DL ON A ONE MEGABIT MODEM!!! So wtf I-dontcare I mean burst.

    Hi,

I cannot currently connect or log onto to the website. I phoned and was told because he recieved 4 similar calls the held desk agent is convinced that there is a site wide problem.
My card was issued through work and they might have cancelled the contract or such

    1. How many of you are experiencing connection problems?

    2. How long to resolving the issue?

    Cheers

Please don't blame the weather, it is this wonderful wireless ISP that has serious speed issues.

Lol, was being a little sarcastic. Was in a good mood because of the special Tuesday on twitter, though loading all those posts took ages.

Been surfing the web with "dial-up" speeds the past week or so, ever since my "must be the weather" remark on 26 June. Anyone else having issues in Pretoria (Mountain View tower)?

    Menlo Park area as well.

And the usual "there are no reported problems" and "we will send a tech out to your place" BS........ Come on, seriously? It is not a problem on our sides, it is the overloaded towers and a general slow down of YOUR network causing us to moan continually, not our PC's.

100% signal, less than 1% packet loss, yet we sit with a totally crap "speed" for months on end (since November last year, so 8+ months already).
The techs have been here and fitted a new flat panel antenna and worked for 4+ hours aiming the atenna to all the different towers in this area to try get the best speed possible out of overloaded towers in the area (all are at 3, so YES, they are all overloaded...) and a slight increase in speed was seen but still less than half the speed we used to have with just the modem alone.

Fix the overloading issue with the towers, case closed. We pay for a decent internet speed, and we demand it return. Stop with the excuses already and fix your network.

Speeds in Durban very poor as well. Live in Westville, work in Musgrave, and iburst at both are equally slow. Browsing is reasonable, downloads start well then bomb out after a minute or two. (Even using Mipony, lucky to keep at 2kbps) I have 72GB unused, pretty pointless having such a option when it's unusable.

Anyone noticed the really, really, extremely deafening silence from iBurst on this thread??! I know it's hard to pick up the indifference...but it's there. I promise. Sirias.

Well, I called them this evening to demand reasons for my throttled service, their response was that it is now policy. I certainly did not agree to a new 50GB a month deal revision to suddenly be throttled after 3 years of satisfactory service downloading whenever and whatever I wanted.

After throwing my toys out the cot at a help desk operator known as Mike he retaliated by suspending my service. That simply makes my departure inevitable. Who do I choose now? Any suggestions?

I currently cannot use my iBurst my modem connects to BSCC 19. I phoned in they informed me it was my modem. I then drove into the office to get some work done took my modem with me. Just for kicks connected the modem via LAN to my notebook and it connected to BSCC 14. Browsing worked like a charm speeds were good.

Just got home plugged the Modem back in connected my notebook directly to it as I did at the office.....and browsing does not work at all cant even open google. BSCC 19 again....
