    Default Another AV thread....

Having had MS security essentials running happily and finding nothing I downloaded A-Squared free and have been letting it run deep scan... So far has found 3 trojans, one inside DRTCP which many of you may use to tweak your MTU settings.

Will see what else it finds...37% done

Keep us posted. Just deleted AVG for MSE. AVG always found something but MSE finds nothing.

I prefer Avast! Have been using it for quite some time and I'm very happy with it.

every other virus scanner will find stuff that the others don't. It's because the makers can't just copy each other's databases... they have to build their own AV databases from scratch.

    +1
I use up to 3 different av's to scan clients pc's and even more if I'm really paranoid that day, but you definitely can't trust just 1 AV scanner, especially if you are a high risk user.

In my area, just about every flash drive is infected and Hdd's are swapped out between users as fast as they can get them out and that is pretty fast, because not of the sides of the chassis or Hdd's have any screws or other form of fasteners attached. Internet access is low and if there is a AV on the pc, it is about a year or more outdated.
    So, viruses galore!
