Yes. if I am still having problems with disconnects tomorrow morning, I will go and log a fault at the Telkom shop (seeing as I couldn't get through when I tried calling the 0800 375 375 number on my cellphone earlier to report a line fault [got through the menu to report a line fault, and then the call was dropped]).

    Who is your ISP ?
Sync stays up, just no data coming through, and router reports a disconnect shortly after.
Tried with IS, Afrihost through IS and Axxess through SAIX accounts - all the same.
Still experiencing the problem this morning.

Only thing you can do is log the fault with telkom, and they will send out a tech to hopefully look at it. And im using my local only account and it seems the same for me aswell.

I went down on Thursday night and came back up some time during the day on Friday - not sure if you all had the same thing. I'm also keen to know what ISP you all use - I'm also with Openweb. I was in contact with Keoma this morning and he initially suggested I contact Telkom but I showed him the screen dumps of info from my router - it had been connected for 10 hrs (since I reset it last night). He subsequently logged a call with IS. My impression was that the problem was more than likely not between me and openweb - router not showing any disconnects but rather from Openweb out. Can anyone verify this? Is it possible that it is a local Telkom problem?

Was playing an online game early this morning and it was dropping around every 10 minutes - grrr

semaphore, unfortunately the problem is still with us or at least me

It's definitely Telkom - I've got multiple accounts and my work has its own IP Connect facility and having the same issues with that one as well - tested it on another DSL at another location and it's fine.

    Thanks quo,
looks like an irritating weekend ahead as I don't hold out too much from Telkom for a fix before the next "working" day. Hopefully I'm proved wrong

Had the same problem all day. Modem keeps losing sync (dsl light flashes) every 5-30minutes... I'm in Sandton though...

You would need to log it with them and do a test, the issues that the people in this thread are having are i think all connecting to the same exchanges within the notice board i.e.

Basic issue: Link - To perform planned maintenance on the Telkom Network at Olivedale Exchange.

Im having the same problem but how do you check what DSLAM you are on because i have no idea. Ive been trying to play online on my ps3 since the 19th and keep getting constant error codes and am being logged out constantly, i thought it was my ps3 that was the problem but maybe not, any other ps3 gamers experiencing the same problem?

    Hi all

I've managed to get my work's Network Management team to contact Telkom - this is confirmed as an area network fault and has been escalated once again to Telkom's NOC

EDIT> This covers the Fourways/Olivedale/Douglasdale areas.
