Don't outsurance only cover your contents ? .... don't you have a "home owners insurance" that covers the building itself ? surely they should cover this

    Burn it?
Failing that get hold of whoever your building insurance is with, you might be able to get them to cover it. Its compulsory if you have a home loan isnt it?

Pay the professionals to do it. R4k is a bargain compared to what this will cost if it isn't done properly.

Easy. Merely buy an aardvark and leave it the roof for a while. Duh

Visit an Agri/WPK shop, it's where the farmers get their poisons.
(or smoke them out and treat the wood with anti-termite)

I went to picknpay but got funny looks when I asked where the aardvark section was.

outsurance are the holders of the home owners policy and they dont cover termites - was surprised at that one, who would have thought....outsurance FAIL

may go cheap and spray the one section where the termites have built their major developement, that is only R700 though pondering burning, take a can of doom and make a mini flame thrower, that could be fun..

bad news is they've munched the roof and ceiling supports, good news is that I have just had building plans approved and was going to work on that room anyhow, will probably just have to start buiding sooner than expected.

    anyone know a decent builder?
