roflmao... "Zomg... we need to make money... Obviously trying to appeal to non-clients by lowering our prices to a justifiable level is just too logical, let's increase our tariffs and alienate them even further!"

Well I'll take a Telkom increase over an Eskom increase any year.

    idc wth
it's 2010, World Cup has come and gone, shouldn't by rather release lower rates in the future?
Why in countries such as Korea you can pay for
    16mb
    Uncapped line
    R156 A YEAR!
    THAT'S A DARN YEAR!
    Not a month, A YEAR!
and that's probably one of the lowest speeds available.

And yet, we pay over 540 a month.. for 5 GB??
Please man, if you raise prices at least raise the darn cap!

Yes yes, technologically behind, but what's the Point of a CAP anyway????
    540 (lower than on the table) x 12= R6480 A year
    and that's for 4mb which is 4 x slower!
YET THE PRICE IS over 41 times greater?
    What are you eating telkom!

Yes, people need jobs, etc, etc, BUT WHAT ARE YOU DOING WRONG TO SUCH AN EXTENT THAT WE PAY 41 times the price overseas????
    Is this sanity?
    And that's for flippin' CAPPED!
    AND SHAPED!
    and 5GB -.-
In a day, it's so easy to use over 1GB.
so lets say a user overseas uses 1 GB every day
    so that's 30 days.

    30 GB / 5 GB = 6!!!
    so 41 X 6 = 246!!!
WE'RE PAYING over 246X than OVERSEAS?
    ...
    OH< and It's a 16mb line right?
    so then that's another 4x
    246 X 4 = 984 times the price.
Please, be reasonable and internationally competitive.
AT LEAST make the R540 deal for between 15GB and 30GB all right?
    Thanks!

The Title post should rather read "apply Vaseline and bend over-Feel it, Telkom is here!"

They will just lose another 150 000 lines during the next financial year. Don't worry though - their mobile strategy will save them
