Deputy Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba intends to fast-track the passage of a yet-to-be drafted law that will compel internet service providers (ISP) to filter content provided to users to ensure it does not contain any pornography.
All joking aside - is there anything the general public can do to fight this ban?
It looks like it is going to go through without even a murmur of objection.

Countries of ban
Looking at the other coutries who banned porn i.e. China and UAE it no suprise SA wants to do the same. Did anyone notice that our country is partly ruled by communists (ANC's coalition partner). {sarcasm intended}.

Government should stay the hell away from censorship. I'm not saying porn is good. But this is turning into an apartheid style government. First FICA, then RICA now this crap. What's next? Are we going to allow them to tell us what to eat or where to take a dump? Freedom of choice. And right to privacy.

If they're so concerned about the right of children how about focussing on lowering rape/abuse and fixing the crumbling education system.Similar programmes to safeguard children from pornography were currently in place in China, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates.

While I do not agree with censorship there are many who will need it when it comes it pornography
