Main Role:
The purpose of the Human Resource Manager Role is to provide overall direction and strategic management of the HR function.
The position requires someone with interview skills.
The incumbent has to have the initiative and experience to plan cost effective ways of recruiting new people and not just defaulting to agencies.
They will be responsible for writing the recruitment policies and procedures that will be implemented and applied in South Africa.
This person would also need to keep very close ties with what is going on in the market and need to be able to negotiate better rates with agents and would thus need to have some negotiation skills.
The incumbent would need to have analytical ability and have experience in the IT industry in order to ascertain exact resource needs and assess candidates potential for each role.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Design, recommend and implement HR strategies for the client.
Review current HR plans and implement/update as appropriate
Ensure policies are developed and kept updated
Develop new policies as appropriate
Ensure communication and understanding, as well as compliance to policies
Design, recommend and oversee the implementation of resourcing strategies for operations, consulting and back office.
Maintain a preferred staffing providers list and update according to performance of providers
Ensure resourcing is continually improving the capability in the company
Assist with the design of appropriate organisational structures
Ensure organisation charts are regularly reviewed and updated as necessary
Ensure job descriptions are designed, reviewed/updated as necessary
Ensure personal profiles are reviewed/updated as necessary
Management of the employee database
Implementation of HR system and ongoing management / updating of the system
Maintenance and review / update of all employment contracts
Maintenance and review/update of all HR processes
Requirements:
Education & Qualifications:
Relevant degree or diploma related to the role.
