    Default DRM-free Nokia music

    Nokia music to become DRM-free

    Among a host of announcements, Nokia promises music store will become DRM free.

    Awesome! I will use this service now, if this question's answer is to my liking:

    What bitrate are these MP3s ripped to?

    I used Nokia Music Store after I received a R200 Music voucher with my new phone. Bad experience. Wil not recommend it at all. Take a look here.

    Damn now I have no excuse to pirate music any more :-)
    Only snafu last time I tried it was it insisted on installing nokia phone drivers even though I only wanted the music store.

    Great - any thing to aggravate apple.

    If I could use this service with my BIS on my blackberry then I would definitely use it. Does anyone know the bitrate although it's a good sign that they've moved to mp3.

    Blackberry cannot play music that well - so bit-rate is irrelevant for it.

    Precisely the constructive response I expected. What kind of Nokia pr person are you anyway if you don't know anything about this?

    We have used it when we got a voucher and it was a good service, lots of South African albums as well. We didn't really notice the DRM but its definitely a bonus now.

    @EtienneK - the Bitrate will be 320 kbs/s
