We don't care about the 20 000 lucky few who will be able to get 10mb. What about the 620 000 other adsl users. We need answers! When will it be our turn

Yeah, I'll throw my lot in with the OP. I really couldn't give a rats backside that 4 meg users get a xmas lolly early. I'm as tired of being done dry by telkom and want my prez too. GIVE IT ME TELKOM!!!!

When you're willing to pay more? Unless you're too far from the exchange in which case there's not much you can do.

Consider me warm dough.
And kneady? :)

I'm with the OP!

All an increase from 4 to 10 is going to result in is more users bitching about being warned for sucking the internet dry with their uncapped accounts! Screw them. Upgrade 384k lines now!

The price you pay for living on the "Wild Side"!!!

TBH I would also, as it is a beautiful area to live !

It's plain to see that Telkom wants you to upgrade to 4 / 10 mbps and PAY MORE. Same old business philosophy they've always had: Screw the customer. SA - the last nation in the world in the internet dark ages. FFS, get with the program telkom.

Woah, pay more? What you're paying for this upgrade now? Oh, you're not? So what makes you so special that you should be entitled to free upgrades while the rest of us "peasants" get stuck in the slow lane? Not all of us can afford the higher speed and ISP packages... should that disqualify us from a bump in speed?

I don't think so!

Precisely. Bwana, with respect: that post makes you sound like a telkom apologist...

What about us 4 mbps users who won't get the upgrade? Why should we have to pay the same price that some guys are paying for 8 mbps or more?

I don't believe there should be any offerings below 1mb/s but I dont see telkom disbanding 384 anytime soon because that is the lowest speed they're allowed to call broadband (thanks ICASA ) and get away with it. What they should be doing is make all the offerings cheaper but they decided not to do that this year didnt they.

And relax buddy, I'm not getting any free upgrades. ;)

Because it's *up to* 10Mbps, Gary. When they finally decide to upgrade 384 and 512 you could always drop down to the cheapest package that comes close to your current speed.
