Interesting thing this morning i was working on a server on IS and it was VEEERY slow
So popped a traceroute off and found this:
Traffic is being routed internationally
Hopefully it is just a problem on the peering and not a indication that no peering exists between CELLC and IS...
traceroute to xxx.co.za (196.213.xxx.xxx), 64 hops max, 52 byte packets

Hi kotesh
The offer is a prepaid offer so there is no credit check and no monthly fee unless you use more than your allocated 2GB or 5GB in which case you will be charged R0.39/MB. When the service becomes available in your area the prepaid packs will be available in all participating Cell C outlets.
Regards
Cell C
Who cares if u call it 4G/4Gs. With these speeds and pricing, you can call it anything u want! Speed test to JHb server at 9Mbps. amazing.
1. Do you allow to carry over unused data to the next month?
2. Can you get daily notifications of how much data you've used?
3. If you reach the limit for the month is the service suspended until next month or until you buy more data?
4. How can you purchase additional data?
5. When is it coming to JHB? (Forget the rest of the cities - they are irrelevant)

Hi, spent the Day in PE bought the new high speed modem package at R2999. " consultant" swears it is 4G network!!
sitting in Spur in Green acres shopping center, I can see the door of the Cell C store that i bought 21.1 modem from, BUT......i have the green light flickering, connection says EDGE- CELL C---- I am pissed.
Went back to store, in store I get the full Monty, but go out 15 meters from the store door and i revert to EDGE.
was in Durban over weekend, got full 3G+.
So, has anyone managed so far to get anything close to 21Mbps even just for short period?
and where in durban were you?
