saw a telkom guy parked a few houses down from me yesterday and when i asked about the 10mb he said they are working on it. But that some people have been upgraded already and that they just need to do a software update??

Anywhere else in the world, yes. But in South Africa, Telkom techies working is a bad thing.

Oh no
so last night at 10pm my adsl goes down... BEREA AREA - 031-201 xxxx - called 0800375375
techie tells me they doing upgrades but he doesnt know exactly how long it will take. but apparently my line will be unusable between 10pm and 2am every day for a week.. anyone else experience this problem?
What I found with our own exchange is that the entire exchange is not upgraded - only parts of it.
Still nothing in my part of Glenwood (above Manning Road).
Nothing near Davenport, Glenwood - although my net is really slow atm.
Seems like Telkom forgot about berea.. we dont exist in their eyes.. that whole exchange is quite big cant understand how they can not upgrade ANYONE on it as yet.. stupid techie got me excited on monday night now i feel like he was talking ***!
