For R2,999 you will get a modem capable of speeds of up to 21.6Mbps and 5GB of data every month for a period of 12 months.
R1999 looked better, a bit disappointed.

P.S. rpm is fast with breaking news...

Hehe, didn't see this thread so i'll repeat what i said in the other thread.

Its still damn good pricing. But yeah, pity it wasnt R999 and R1999. Anyway, this special is not really what is important, the real info needed is the final per gig and out of bundle pricing.

If it comes in a lot less than vodacom and mtn, we will be looking at interesting times ahead.

    Well done Cell C.

Seems I’m the only one who finds the "4G" misleading, will see how it pans out over the next few months in terms of coverage, with 5 gigs I’m sure the network won’t be overcrowded, assuming every one does not use 5 gigs at the same time

hope the other 2 networks come to the party - and quick.

on another note - funny how they pushing this, buta friend of mine is on Cell C - and his BB messenger disconnects easily 10 times a day (then must go into settings and change to vodacom's network for it to work) and when he is on the internet he gets slow and fast burst of data.

one minute will be flying next slow and then nothing...

    Awesome stuff!

This is even better than how MWEB freed The Web.

And there I was about to rant about what a slow boring news week this was.

Great work Cell C, and great work Lars Reichelt in particular. South Africa needs more forward thinking, innovative CEOs like you.

Vodacom and MTN can kiss my ass. They've lost me as a customer for good!

Awesome news, seriously thinking about checking it out!

    Now for the other questions:

    Does data roll over monthly?
How much is out of bundle?

Nice one, just hope they don't take ages to switch on the different cities like Neotel did. 4 yrs down the line and I'm still not covered in Durbs

Yeah, they should have added all the rates to this article.

    IE: 250 MB, 500MB, 1GB, 2GB etc etc

I would not jump ship too early on this one. I want to first see if their "4G" network is reliable & how it performs after being loaded with people downloading 5GB's each.

You are the product of 4 billion years of evolution. Start acting like it.
