MWEB will improve uncapped ADSL capacity and redundancy

MWEB invests in further infrastructure to support its uncapped ADSL services, but concerns remain about last-mile infrastructure

Good news - especially since this will be the first IPC in Cape Town. Locally hosted IPCs is a positive development, and hopefully reduces the overall cost of IPC.

I might not be a fan of MWeb, and so long as I have a choice, I'll never use them. However, for what they've done and helped bring about in ZA in a couple of months, I'll never see them as "just another money-grubbing ISP" again.

    Go MWeb!

they havent told anyone they download "too much" on their uncapped accounts
the account bannings were related to bypassing their shaping (either using a vpn or using port 80 SSL - the vpn i can understand banning for, its much more deliberate; altho many ppl knowingly used newsdemons port 80 ssl servers to bypass shaping)

+1. It's all there in their AUP. If people don't like it, they shouldn't agree to it and then cry to mommy later that they were cut off.
