Yay! I use Ubuntu-One all the time. Great news!
Where are the files stored - internationally or in SA? Both?
Does one pay for the service?
What is the storage limit?
i7 980X 3.33GHz @ 4GHz, Rampage III Gene, Noctua NH-D14, Corsair 12GB DDR3-1600, Asus 580GTX, Corsair 80GB & x2 60GB SSD, Dual 24" P2450, W7 64bit.
Files are hosted internationally i think. (But you have a local copy on your PC anyway.)
The service is free. (Only 2GBs of storage though.)
You can buy more storage though.
I love Ubuntu... started using it about 3 months ago... it's great... had minor teething problems with drivers for the Intel integrated graphics chipset... sorted that out... once in a while I've had to boot into Windows Vista... what a painful experience... takes 5 minutes for the OS to become usable after login... with Ubuntu as soon as the desktop appears you can start working... and it shuts down in a fraction of the time Vista does... a bonus is the Evolution mail client which allows me to continue working with ms exchange which we use as work...
Windows Live SkyDrive gives you 25 GB./runs away

UbuntuOne has been a major let down for me. I had many problems syncing 3 PCs after major upgrades - erlang & couchdb issues.
I will give it a go again as it really has great potential.
Till then I'm using my DropBox.
Microsoft told me they were my solution, so I told them I wanted my problem back.
When the defecation hits the oscillation, run as root!
