Hi,

Please can I have your opinions on the cheapest Android phones with decent screen res?

Thanks

What do you regard as a decent screen resolution? IMHO, The Samsung Galaxy S is pretty decently priced at R5300 (as Incredible Connection are selling them currently)...

As much as I love my SGS I do think that price is insane to most people :p

Maybe an HTC Hero would be a good choice, especially if you can get it second-hand. A bit dated by now though.

I don't think that falls within the "decent screen resolution" criteria... The X10 mini screens are TINY and the resolution isn't too good either...

Well then the SGS is the prettiest screen I have seen in a while, but the phone is not necessarily cheap :)

It's overpriced for what you get, if you're looking at that then you may as well spend a bit extra to get something much better like the HTC Desire or Samsung Galaxy S.
Ok cool, just thought they'd be roughly the same price as the Legend was supposed to be the successor of the Hero...

It's really not THAT expensive... Have you people had a look at the prices of smartphones these days? It's not uncommon to pay 7 grand or more... R5300 for a powerful, fully-featured smartphone is really not that bad. Some feature phones come close or even exceed that price!

Well relative to the wave then it's only R500 more??
