For some some strange reason Hyundai decided that SA spec ix35s shouldn't have RDS. Does anyone know if it can be enabled and, if so, how?

Good Question, but yeah, apparently the "auto volume adjust" feature was also disabled/disconnected from the radio for SA ... so the radio will not go softer as you slow down to a stop or louder as you speed up  :wtf:

:wtf: :D

I enabled it on my i20 so it should be possible. Check this section for a thread on yaris vs i20, theres a link towards the end.

That option is actually there, it's in the same menu where the RDS option should be.

There may be no connection... I watched a RPM episode the other day & they 'tested' the Sportage. The presenter complained about the fact that there was no RDS. These being sister-cars I thought there might be similarities? I am not sure…

It's no buggy really .just a nice to have. Just a pity that they would miss something as simple as that for such a feature packed vehicle .
Fazda....you just can't beat the value for money on these cars . I've been looking for 5 months before I signed. If money wasn't an option I prolly would've driven a q5

Nope, same sort of price as buying an IX and at least I have permanent 4 wheel drive and decent ground clearance...

Nooit. Last I checked it cost 60K more for the forester to get the same comfy features ( minus the 4x4 ) . The most climbing i do with the car is the pavement so that was not a requirement. but to be honest if I had the $ I wouldve gotten a subaru . Build is alot more solid , but I was looking for a family vehicle and you just cant beat the value for money in the IX.
