We have bought a farm at Stormsvlei, between Swellendam and Riviersonderend on the N2. There is obviously no ADSL. Swellendam has WiMax, but we are 35km from Swellendam and if we should have it it would not be a strong signal (I think) My choice is between Wireless, Satellite and 3G. We want to run a business from there and use the internet a lot. We are currently using 3G (pre-paid Vodacom) and the speeds are not good [Latency 1326 ms, DL 61 Kb/s, UL 59 Kb/s]
I know I can get a booster for Vodacom, but how do I know how much it will boost? I am looking for mainly a good latency. I was wondering if one can pay someone to come out there to test all the different options and advise me. Where would I find such a person?
