How will MWEB's peering link cuts effect you?

MWEB has now cut all paid peering links to local service providers. This is how you will be impacted.

Gaming has gotten really slow on Mweb... Other then that, I cant see much of a difference.

Do you maybe have links to which ISP's have which gaming servers on them. That would really be helpful

    Interesting how things change!
A suggestion: Simplify the table by deleting the first (superfluous) column, and swap the other two columns around.
    I WHOOOSH!

The table does not list the peering relationship between MWEB and Neotel.

Does any one know what the relationship is between them?

And put the local peering at the top of the table and the internationals after all the locals have been listed

Is the 10 Commandments for Christians?

Using MWeb ISP to SAIX game servers went from sub 100ms latency to over 500ms. No BFBC2 for me until this is resolved!

Also, my SAIX leased lines at work (for VOIP) are only national bandwidth, so no sip.mweb.net connectivity - even via international at all. Luckily there are redundant routes, but this has really affected the amount of traffic I can send to MWeb for VOIP termination. Looks like they have shot themselves in the foot, at least in the short - medium term?

Vince I have the same problem, but I am willing to stick it out as I am in full support with what MWeb is doing. Telkom must stop being so fcking greedy and accept the local peering agreement.

    Neo who?

I suspect they're probably also peering locally, seeing as both of them pushed the seacom angle pretty hard. I'd guess the two are connected somewhere along there without it going over intl.

I'm with MWEB on this one. My ISP is also MWEB so it won't affect me that much cause I'm playing on the igame servers most of the time. Also think Telkom must stop being greedy. I am going to play COD: Black ops.

So bad for people that's still with Telkom. They get what they deserve for their stupidity. Telkom is so expensive. Just go with Mweb or some other ISP that's with IS or MWEB.

I'm not the biggest gamer, but how many games only have Telkom servers? I know TF2 has a SAIX and an IS?

And who has Telkom and MTN accounts? Isn't everyone that uses the interwebs machine properly with the new guys?
