ROFLLulu Letlape, group executive for corporate communication at Telkom, reported to the Business Times that urbanites have a lot of brands to choose from and that Telkom had recently received “a lot of negative media coverage which has affected the manner in which people view the company.
Telkom has also invested heavily in community programmes which are focused on rural areas and according to Letlape Telkom tend “to be seen as a member of the community.”
”it's official, Lulu is the new Vapi when it comes to feeding BS to the public. why doesn't she just come out with the truth - that people in rural areas are not as well informed as people in urban areas when it comes to telcums true motives
Procrastination is like masturbation. It may feel good at first, but when you look at the task at hand, you're actually screwing yourself.
Telkom needs to wake up and stop trying to justify the way they have held the entire country to ransom and shot the economy in the foot
I wonder what motivates her stance about rural communities - my discussions in the past with same in fact evidenced the exact opposite, coupled to some anger concerning the cost and cessation of service due to non-payment...
Have a lot of brands to choose from???? Please inform me, I would like to get a quote. (Sarcastic) duh
admittedly, telkom has a very good public relations dept..they are very creative when they need to pull rabbits out of their butts
So Telkom is marketing to the ignorant. No surprise there! Those are the only people who will suck it up. They are doing feel good marketing to people who will never see Telkom actively invest in providing services to them. WTF!
Instead of providing people in rural areas with services they go there under the banner of the Telkom Foundation to build schools. Schools are very important, make no mistake, but we know WHY Telkom is doing this and not rolling out services to those areas. They want sympathy from the rural voters without investing!
