Not sure if I should ask here or just create a whole entire new thread...
Anywoo, I need the acapella of Liquideep's - Alone.
Here is a beta of what I'm looking to do with the song
http://soundcloud.com/alphawolftsume...rdwell-encoded
I tried at Traxsource, but to no avail. As you can hear from the song above I just worked with the song as is. EQ'ed first in Reason by removing what I can, then I mixed it up with Hardwell's - Encoded. At time its like hey thats sounds good but the majority is like meh. Especially In the breaks I cant raise the vocals without raising the snare which is very high pitched.
Anyone have any ideas what I can do if no one knows where I can get the vocals![]()
I think what you're looking for are the original stems, not sure about the legal antics / cost of getting those. Otherwise you're ptty much out of luck, you could try using some clever side chaining and a parametric EQ to notch out that snare during specific intervals.. or you could looka t using iZotope RX, a dozen boxes of redbull and several hundred milligrams of naughty.. I'd go with the stems if I were you.
That's assuming I follow you correctly and these stupid speakers I have in my large, empty office are giving me the right info![]()

I've been OCD and reading up on room acoustics for when I move and build a project studio. It is a very complicated subject, and ****ing expensive.
07:39 PM nihilist: hey i bet the acoustics in a padded room at a mental asylum must be really good!
07:43 PM nihilist: which is where i will be if i keep reading this crap
07:43 PM copacetic: lol
07:43 PM nihilist: irony you cruel bitch
07:44 PM copacetic: You do seem to have gotten a little, *puts on sunglasses*, ABSORBED by the matter.
07:44 PM copacetic: YEEEEAAAH

I love music.
Have access to (relatively) nice equipment and software.
As far as I can gather, I'm not entirely un-musical.
Yet.
I don't create.
What the **** is wrong with me?
Any advice is appreciated. :/
