Default Top South African schools ?

I know everybody will have their own views about which is the top South African public and private schools but is there a place where one can actually see a list of the top schools. Schools always advertise that they are in the top 10 or top 50 in the country but where do they get it from ???

Probably based on past results, sporting and cultural achievements. It will obviously always be biased!!

    And here's their flaw...

Perry said a major constraint of the survey was basing the index solely on the school's academic results.

"The ranking of the best schools is always controversial since an enormous proportion of school outcomes are determined by social class, families' access to resources and the quality of the school environment."

Aaahhhh... is that what happens at these so-called top boarding schools???

Back on topic, though, this whole debate is extremely subjective.

As a good rule of thumb, the good government schools will be former Model-C schools and the good private schools will be the well-known ones - Michaelhouse, Hilton, St. Johns, Saints, Bishops etc.
