Solve two of the world's major problems: feed the homeless to the hungry
Yes please do!! Is it R13k only for speakers?
Does anyone know if the Marvell Qdeo video processing unit used for 4K up-scaling in the Onkyo NR616 and NR609 are the same, or is the NR616's unit a better version??
Right, so slight change here. I'm switching the BX6 to a pair of RX6's, which is the models from the "Silver" range. Apparently they're vastly superior and have a good amount more bass. This means that a sub is also not really required, so I'll be dumping that until I find one for a really good price, if I feel it is at all necessary.
The Silver speakers require quite a bit of oomph to drive apparently, so the baby Denon amp won't cut it quite as well, so I'm waiting for some suggestions there.
Price on the speakers so far is a hint over R10k. Will probably pick up a decent entry-level-ish amp to drive them. Don't need network connectivity at all as I have a HTPC that will be running straight into the amp so streaming is pointless. Besides, my TV has network connectivity as well, and I don't even use that at the moment.
