I saw the Marantz5006 with the Jamo 506 at Dion Wired canal walk for R13500. Was a weekend spesial. The sound was incredible. They set the speaker quite far from each other, so the sound stage was amazing. Just gota love dire strait, money is for nothing! Spoke to a guy called Rayn. He said he will speak to the manager to find out if i can get it in the week aswell.. sure hope so! There was another set for R8000 aswell. Think its the smaller one tho..

Answered my own question.
It might be good, but doesn't suit my needs - no HDMI input, only HDMI output.

Think the onkyo amp is 14000, would rather have the jamo matantz 5006 for the same price with out the dvd player.

I would like to know from you guys (and the people who own this amp) if this is a good starter amp? Im new to AV so this will be my first piece of equipment. I will have to get the speakers later on in the year.

I want to know if that samsung 7.2 channel bundle for 9k is worth it.
the rear speakers are wireless (only wired to the receiver that is wireless to the front system)
