Would it be possible to overclock a Nvidea 6800GT to the speeds of a 6800Ultra?

It depends on the brand really, and what components they used for memory etc.

Some brands use really cheap memory on the cards that won't operate very well at higher clock speeds.

The only way to know is to try.

RADEON X850 XT Platinum Edition

I just bought a RADEON X850 XT Platinum Edition card from xtremeware.co.za for R2950 what do u think seems like i got a good deal from them

Im getting the Gigabyte 6800GT also for R2980. I hope its the right choice as I always have been a fan of ATI. Would the Radeon X850XT maybe be a better choice?

I am realy in two minds on what to get:confused:
I have a Radeon9800Pro that have served me good over the years and I can still play the most recent games @ 1024@768 at medium settings.

So if someone in the know could please help me decide by possibly backing up their statements with some evidence.\\

I am capped now so no use in googling it:rolleyes:

This is the 2nd 9800 pro my 9600xt will kill:D lol

DUDE! That is an AWESOME price and you came along just in the nick of time as well! I MUST get one, but i have my doubts about my credit card. I dont think i can have a R3000 transaction.

just checked. pinacle micro has an MSI x850 xt pe for R4095 ex vat...
Sahara has a x800xl (not a bad card) for R2800 ex vat...

guess which one i'm getting ;)

Yeah but the X850XT on the xtreme website only comes in PCI :(
That is unfortunately very true.

I have seen some AGP flavours from the dealers but damn, they are expensive! I guess it is because they are no longer being manufactured or something. I am buying whole new system, so this is perfect for me. I'm saving like R1300 on this deal!

Has anybody had experience with GECUBE ati's?
I would prefer to go for sapphires
