Farren Roper

Farren Roper is the Operations Manager for FNB Connect. He specifically focuses on telecoms procurement in the daily operations of FNB Connect, as an Internet Service Provider Company where he is also an EXCO member. It takes a unique individual to run the FNB Connect business unit filled with licensing and governance compliance challenges where Farren brings his passion, expertise and zeal to FNB Connect and has contributed considerably to FNB Connect’s growth.

Farren Roper holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Unisa that he obtained this year (2010). He also holds a Diploma on the Principles of Brand Building from the Vega School of Branding and an LLB degree that he obtained by 2003. Farren began his tertiary career in 1999 and acquired his first degree in Bachelor of Commerce (Law) in 2001.

Farren began his banking career while he was a student in 1999 as a Frontline officer at Standard Bank of South Africa. He was then appointed as a General Office Assistant in February 2001 at Mageza Le Roux Vivier Attorneys then later received an inter-company promotion to Candidate Attorney. Farren was then head hunted to join Bouwer Kobeli & Morabe Attorneys in 2002 where he was later appointed to Clover SA as a Legal Advisor. His legal career opened a path for him to join MediKredit Integrated Healthcare Solutions as an Assistant Legal Advisor in 2007.

Before he was appointed as the Operations Manager for FNB Connect, he also fulfilled the Head of Legal Risk and Compliance role for FNB Connect. Farren continues to be a true example of “climbing the corporate ladder” with great success. Through out his studies he has strived to focus on law but also have a holistic understanding of commerce in general. Amongst his duties as Operations Manager at FNB Connect he has been placed as the designated spokesperson for the entire unit.

Farren, 30 years of age is unmarried and enjoys reading, creative writing, playing tennis and attending the theatre.
