I found this "all the warnings are for people who use cwm to wipe data. If you do not use cwm you will not get any problems."
It seems people are red flagging the I9100XXLQ5 4.0.4 update, so stay away.
Sup ppl, soz for the delayed feedback, I received my phone back yesterday, unfortunately, it was not a phone swop nor was it swopped out for a S3but they changed the mainboard and updated the firmware to the following:

Fixed for you
There are a number of leaked ROM's that are giving issues. See here.
Really lucky on them doing it under warranty, wonder if Vodacom would do similar if something goes wrong with my flash addiction
How long does flashing cyanogenmod take? I have been stuck on data.img on Odin for the last 20 mins. Any idea?

Any AOSP 4.1 roms out yet?

I think he was coming from stock, seeing as he also posted this on my CM9 install guide which offers instructions for stock & rooted.

Think it will be CM10 - and it will probably be a while before we see any of those ROMs appearing.

Not necessarily. Because 4.1 is an incremental update, they can build on the CM9 work quite quickly. I'm running a Nexus port on my phone, and it is almost there. The official builds are going to come thick and fast.
[EDIT]
Now that I've read the linked article, I'll eat my words. Slowly, with some humble pie.![]()
