Any ROMs in particular? I've had a couple of 4.0.4 ROMs with no hassles. Currently running CM9... about to dual boot Android 4.1 (alpha ROM).

Not necessarily. Because 4.1 is an incremental update, they can build on the CM9 work quite quickly. I'm running a Nexus port on my phone, and it is almost there. The official builds are going to come thick and fast.

In a word, Quick. Or maybe responsive. No, definitely quick. I'm unable to use Google Now, offline search, etc. but what I have seen I most definitely laaik.

Yeah, that's my primary ROM too. Although, AOKP milestone 6 is looking tempting. I need to see what the difference is though.

Nah - it's a dual-boot scenario. Not yet usable as a daily driver - no wifi is a deal breaker for me.

Anyhow, sadly Search keeps FCing, meaning the other best thing about 4.1 - Google Now - doesn't work. Not worth installing.

Eh, I've been on Resurrection Remix 1.9.1 and Siyah 3.2.7.2 for ages now, and everything has been going super smooth, until yesterday. I reloaded an old boot loader to use my jig, and today my phone has been doing the weirdest things:

• The screen randomly goes on while the phone is locked
• The phone randomly goes into 'car mode' ? lol
• The clock app is absolutely screwing around, for example when I unlock the phone it goes into to clock app?

Anyone seen this behavior? It's a strange coincidence that it happened the day after I messed around with the boot loaders :/

Nothing comes to mind. Did you go back to the latest Siyah kernel after you finished with your jig? (Stoopid question, I know, but it bears asking)

Ahh, actually I didn't. When I flashed the latest version all my problems went away. So the bootloader forms part of the kernel then?

In any case, it's time I update resurrection remix to v2.5.3[4.0.4]. Anyone use that?

I am not sure - I think the bootloader is seperate from the kernel. I helped a mate of mine to get out of bootloop. We flashed the Intratech's XWLPD which contains the old bootloader, then flashed Siyah 3.3.2 and I could use the jig to remove the triangle and reset his counter.

EDIT: Sometimes, in CWM recovery, if you fix permissions it resolves weird problems.

Does anyone know if there are galaxy s2 specific settings I must use when encoding video in MeGUI? I encoded the audio and video and muxed it into mp4 container but I just keep gettings errors playing the file on the phone

I'd prefer to use MeGUI if possible instead of another program.

EDIT: unless there's a way to play flv files on the phone
