2 Router on 1 ADSL Line ?

Yes - just don't use them at the same time.
It's exactly like 2 telephones on the same line - you both talking, you both gonna interfere with each other.

One router can handle more than one connection at a time. You've got to decide on the configuration you want to use.

two routers or modems i dont think so. What you should do is to see if your router support multiple PPoE accounts. The different subnets could be routed to different PPoE connections on the router. However the two PPoE connections on the router fight it out for bandwidth, so you will have to see if you dedicate bandwith to each port of your router.

Yes, 2 routers can.

One ADSL line goes to a ADSL modem and then the 2 routers connect via PPPoE to the ADSL modem.

I do it everytime with Linux boxes.

Real routers, maybe.

However Telkom refer to their little box as POTS router, which, no doubt is where the confusion comes from. As per earlier explanations, only one of these can be connected to a line.

As I said, use 1 ADSL modem (like a Dlink DSL-300T or the Telkom box in bridge mode) and then 2 proper routers which have WAN port (not a telephone jack but RJ-45/Ethernet, like the dlink DI-604)

So in essence, yes, you can run 2 routers when you only have 1 line.

OK Maybe there is another solution.

I have a ADSL-1024 line
SAIX account for Internet and Email ( 6 users )
IS account for Usenet ( 1 user only )

My router is a Netgear DG632 and supports only 1 account.
The IS account caps international after 2-3 days then i have to switch betwean accounts witch is a pain.
