1 Week has passed and my phone line is not working. If it were up to me I'd drop the phone but Telkom doesn't give you the option when getting ADSL. Now I am forced to pay for a service that isn't even working.

Similar to a car being off the road for repairs - still have to pay the installments.

It's called line "rental" ... so I'd say it's more similar to a rented car being off the road for repairs.
You definitely will get a refund. I do every month. Anyway, use skype, its a lot cheaper
and you think that 1 week is bad...I was without a phone line for 5 MONTHS
