Well done Cybersmart / Laurie, I am very satisfied with your unshaped bandwidth 100 GB purchased via https://www.trltech.co.za/whmcs/cart.php?gid=15 @ R 9.50 per GB with Unlimited Capsaver (http://www.cybersmart.co.za/capsaver.cgi) - best in SA at present, keep it up!

Unlike other Cape Town based ISP's the bandwidth is unshaped and unadulterated, full speed 24/7 @ R9.50 / GB; without any issues, as they are utilising their own local backbone which allows for low local pings in the region of 10 ms.

CellC better watch their advertising with these results, VC will have lots to gloat about if this trend continues

What's happening to Cell C? Is this the result of too many people on the network? I hope to see this trend start reversing soon.

Well done Vodacom!!!! Best 3G coverage, best prices and best speeds.....and improving.

Ooopsy CellC and Larse!!! your whole childish add campaign just fell flat The newly painted RED machine is in fact faster than the new black model. Your CellC model has not even run around the first street corner, not even run in yet and already loosing speed.

It takes more than a funny Trevor Nohah add campaign to be the No.1 network....huh?

Mweb not too good in this but I use 85GB/month my speedtest.net never falls below 3.4MB download and 0.4MB upload, so I am still happy with Mweb.

These averages don't seem right to me. I have a 4meg line with Afrihost, but just about everyone I know has a 384 or 512 line. If you have a voda/mtn/cellc contract, do you automatically get put on the 7 point whatever meg speed stats, whether you use it once a year when in the south pole, or every day?

'South Africa’s average download speed of 3.01Mbps' - this surely cannot be correct, I don't think our average d/l speed is anywhere near this for the average user.

Perhaps all those who have bought the cell c dongle who are on the edges of their coverage area and are still on Edge waiting for the coverage to expand keep on doing speedtests in the hope that it is improving thus causing speedtest to register heaps of test results of only 20kb/s or lower?
Maybe this contributes to the lowering score for cell c?

Funny jump for VC - as if a lot of users left their network for WOOOOOSH

why do anyone do a speed test? because things look a bit slow that day so you do a speed test to confirm that there is a problem. then you complain. so this could explain cellc.......

@Beri: Good point, but that would be the case for everyone, not just cell c. Cybersmart and VC are then having very good "bad" days

Glad to see you finally made the move away from WA.
