    Default Finally, Cellphone Banking with 8ta and FNB

    So I noticed this morning that I can finally purchase airtime and do banking (with FNB) on my 8ta cellphone.

    Dial *120*321*MOPIN# to do cellphone banking. Service charged at 20c per minute (I think).

    Dial *130*321*MOPIN# to purchase airtime. Free service.

    This is awesome! I was freaking annoyed that the only way for me to buy airtime was to buy a voucher, now I can buy my airtime right from my phone, just like I used to when I was with Vodacom and Cell C.

    Good shot 8ta! Took you long enough.

    Well done to 8ta.
    Last week www.8time.co.za launched a mechanism to buy 8ta airtime online. Applicable for all major SA banks.

    Ya, it was about time for 8ta to join the "pin-less" online crowd.
    Sounds like 8ta is making their way forward.

    Eight Time allows you to recharge with ANY amount from R21 to R1000. However, please note that the minimum transaction amount for FNB clients are R110.You can go for a lower amount but processing that a pain.

    - Cell phone: Dial *180# from your handset.

    - 3G modem: Click on the USSD icon on your “8ta Connect” screen. Dial *180# via the “Enter Command” to convert your airtime into data.

    Eight Time provides you with an easy and effective service to recharge 8ta prepaid airtime via Electronic Fund Transfer. We make use of the existing banking infrastructure and Internet Banking.
    This service is for 8ta Prepaid and Hybrid clients only. Eight Time cannot recharge 8ta Contract clients.
    All existing terms and conditions between you, your bank and 8ta remain in place. Eight Time will not be liable for any loss between the above mentioned parties. However, Eight Time will take responsibility for all money received in good order by either recharging the supplied or a supplied alternative cell number. Eight Time will retain the right to deduct any or all costs and legal fees.

    DISCLAIMER: Eight Time does not accept the responsibility if you provide an incorrect cell number in the “Beneficiary Reference” field of your internet banking. If the “incorrect cell number” provided was an existing 8ta Prepaid/Hybrid number, and this number was recharged in the process, Eight Time cannot reverse such a transaction. If the “incorrect cell number” was an 8ta Contract number, a number from another service provider or you left out a digit, and the number could not be recharged, Eight Time will accept an alternative cell number to be recharged. Should you use incorrect banking details and/or insufficient information via the EFT and/or an incorrect cell number, you will be responsible for supplying a sufficient and original Proof of Payment with the correct cell number to be recharged.

    By using Eight Time, you accept the possible delay between any of the parties involved to successfully display your transaction in Eight Time’s bank account and/or the successful recharge of your correctly supplied cell number by 8ta.
